A New Ringgold man charged with driving while his operating privileges were suspended or revoked was sentenced to six to 12 months home confinement, with electronic monitoring, in a decision by Judge Charles Miller on Nov. 1.

Ralph J. Castello Jr.,

60, was arrested by Orwigsburg Police on Dec. 30, 2018. He must pay fines and costs totaling $2,627.

In a decision by Judge James Goodman on Nov. 6, a man from Lattimer Mines was admitted into the ARD program. If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

Thomas L. Panzarella,

71, was arrested by Tamaqua Police on Sept. 16, 2018. He must pay fines and costs totaling $450 plus a $50 a month supervision fee and $500 to the county to defray the cost of ARD. His motor vehicle operating privileges will be suspended for 60 days. He must complete the alcohol highway safety school and perform 10 hours community service.
