Schuylkill Chamber announces staff changes

Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Robert S. Carl, Jr. announces the following staff change:

• Samantha Chivinski has assumed the role of member relations director. Chivinski has expanded her roles in the chamber over the past 18 months, and is best equipped to advance our member relations to all members. Chivinski is furthering her career through professional networking with the U.S. Institute of Organization Management and professional development with the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals. She works with the president and CEO in member tier outreach and enhancements including the Leadership Council luncheons, business executive forums and visionary signature dinner that have become hallmarks of the visionary, premier and executive level memberships.

Chivinski also works with the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce board of directors, executive committee of the board and the Schuylkill Chamber Foundation board of directors.

• Kelly Preneta’s title has changed to finance and administrative director.

She is directly responsible for the chamber information system, financial accounting though QuickBooks and membership tracking, membership profiles and invoicing.

Preneta has expanded her services into a full-time role and continues to expand her expertise through continued professional development and advanced education.

She will continue to be a liaison with the government affairs committee, where she is strong in government advocacy. She will also assist in workforce development initiatives currently under development and will serve as staff liaison to both the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce board of directors and Schuylkill Chamber Foundation board of directors for administrative and financial oversight.

Preneta is responsible for chamber budgeting and budget adherence and works directly with both the chamber budget committee chair and the treasurer of the chamber. Preneta has recently become the point person for the AblePay membership outreach.

• Danielle Laudeman has assumed the role of events and marketing director. In this role, Laudeman will continue her role as our chief communicator and marketer. She has assumed the role of events planning, coordination and administration.

Laudeman served in an events coordinating role in several former organizations before coming to the chamber 13 months ago. Laudeman oversees the monthly production of the Chamber Communicator, the chamber monthly newsletter, Weekend Update and social media communication.

Laudeman oversees special publication projects such as the Community Guide and our Annual Report. She will be responsible for the annual chamber key events including the economic forecast breakfast, chamber annual luncheon and VIP Reception, annual awards breakfast, annual golf outing, member appreciation mixer, walk for progress, and the SEDCO/Chamber holiday party.

• Pam Klahr, an independent contractor, will serve as a special projects consultant working with the president and CEO.

Klahr has returned home to her native Schuylkill Haven, after a significant chamber leadership career including the Hartford County and Howard County Chambers of Commerce in Maryland and formerly serving as vice president of marketing and member services with the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

She also served as the vice president of marketing and member services of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, chamber national peer organization for leadership development and is a seasoned chamber veteran with significant expertise and connectivity to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

She has most recently worked as a consultant via Pam Klahr and Associates, out of Columbus, Maryland. Klahr’s addition and her vast experience, skills, marketing and visioning will assist our staff in enhancing the education, leadership programs (Schuylkill Leadership and Schuylkill Executive Leadership) and other membership engagement strategies while allowing us to further enhance many areas of the local chamber with national chamber best practices.

Klahr’s experience and expertise, will not only provide many great direct consultative benefits, but will enhance the mentorship and development millennial chamber staff members.
