Schuykill Haven state police

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating the following incidents:

• Troopers said Michael A. McCall, 28, of Pottsville, was operating a 2002 Dodge Dakota southbound along Hotel Street in Pottsville around 6:45 a.m. Sept. 27 while Angela D. Troiani, 51, of Womelsdorf, Berks County, was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry northbound. McCall said he started to have problems steering his vehicle and it entered the northbound lane, where the front of the Dodge hit the front of the Toyota. Troiani was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville Campus. McCall was not injured. Troopers cited McCall for operating a vehicle without a certified inspection sticker.

• State police said troopers were dispatched at 8:17 a.m. Sept. 26 to a vehicle parked along Woodland Road in South Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, with the engine running. Upon arrival troopers found that the vehicle, a 1999 Mazda 626, had been reported stolen out of Berks County. While on scene troopers were dispatched to 3216 Fair Road for an individual attempting to steal a backhoe. Troopers arrived and took Brad Bordner, 33, of Bethel, into custody. It was learned he was the person involved in the vehicle theft in Berks County. Bordner was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post bail.
