PPL awards grant for students to PBS39
PBS39, the Greater Lehigh Valley’s public media station, will make an impact on thousands of students with help from a grant from PPL Electric Utilities.
The $50,000 PPL grant will be used to fund many of PBS39’s educational programs and services, including Raising Readers, Crazy 8s Math, the Full STEAM Ahead! early childhood education initiative and other programs approved by the guidelines set forth in Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit program.
“At PPL, we feel that one of the most effective things we can do as a leader in the community is to help to ensure that our youth are properly educated and supported, especially during the crucial early years of their life,” said Lissette Santana, senior manager of Corporate Relations for PPL.
