Pocono Garden Club holiday table design

Homemade holiday crafts are on the agenda when the Pocono Garden Club meets at 1 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Monroe County Conservation District, located at 8050 Running Valley Road in Bartonsville.

Club member Brenda Abraham, a floral designer, will demonstrate how to create a holiday table design.

Participation is encouraged in the monthly design exhibit, “American Pride,” in honor of Veterans Day. This diagonal arrangement should incorporate red and white silk or fresh flowers in a blue container. No accessory permitted.

The horticultural entry would be a collection of dried plant material such as flowers, grasses, seed pods, leaves and berries in a container of the exhibitor’s choice. Include five or more species.

The houseplant entry would be any flowering houseplant.

Bring in entries 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Everyone interested in gardening is welcome to attend.
