Pleasant Valley posts threat update
No news was good news in Pleasant Valley School District on Friday.
A day after alerting the community that a middle school student had received a social media threat, district staff reported that nothing further came of the matter.
“We have not received any additional information from the state police regarding yesterday’s threats,” the district posted on its website. “Four troopers were at PVMS this morning and we utilized our metal detectors in our schools. All is well in all four schools.”
Though the threat did not specifically name Pleasant Valley School District or Pleasant Valley Middle School, added security measures were put in place.
