Panther Valley Golden Agers

Weather permitting, Panther Valley Golden Agers will meet Monday at St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall.

The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. If the meeting is canceled, members will be notified.

Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of April 9-13 is:

Monday: Chicken rice soup, open-faced hot pork sandwich or chicken Cobb salad

Tuesday: Sausage and peppers over spaghetti or pesto chicken sandwich

Wednesday: Chicken Verona and oven potatoes or Italian sandwich

Thursday: Pepper steak and brown rice or meatloaf sandwich

Friday: Waldorf salad with chicken, roll and pickled cabbage

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events through April 13.

A Music Together Class will be held starting at 10:30 a.m. on April 9; Lottery Bingo at 11 a.m. on April 10; St Luke’s dietitian will be here to talk on Nutrition for Seniors at 11 a.m. on April 11; Senior Game Practice at 10 a.m. on April 12; Now You Have It Now You Don’t at 11 a.m. on April 13.

Senior Games will be held May 1-11, stop in the center to register and join in the fun.

Neighborhood watch

The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch will take place at 7 p.m. on April 10 at the borough hall. All are welcome.
