Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, will hold several events in October:

• Preschool Reading Program is held every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5. All participants will enjoy a story, craft and snack.

• Wednesday: Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends” Night. The Library is selling Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends” shopping passes for 25% off your purchase at all Boscov’s locations from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Proceeds from the pass purchase benefits the library. To purchase passes, stop by the library during normal business hours or call 570-645-3780.

• Saturday: Book, Bake and Soup Sale, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Stock up on books for the fall and winter at the used book sale and pick up some soup and baked goods. All genres of books will be available for sale.
