Miller Bloodmobile

Miller-Keystone Blood Center will conduct a bloodmobile at Palmerton Area High School on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This visit is primarily for students and faculty. To be eligible, a student must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have had any tattoos or body piercings within the last 12 months. Students are also reminded that the school (not Miller) requires a signed parental permission slip.The next Miller-Keystone community bloodmobile will be on Thursday, Oct. 1, at the First United Church of Christ.Health Fair & Open HouseThe Village at Palmerton, 71 Princeton Avenue, Palmerton, is hosting its Annual Health Fair Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Many free screenings and samples will be available. Glucose, facials, chair massages, balance assessments, health supplies, directory services, veterans affairs, unclaimed money and much more. The hours are Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sept. 13 from 1-4 p.m.Community FestivalThe 20th Annual Palmerton Community Festival will be held Sept. 11, 12, and 13 in the Palmerton Borough Park. Parking and admission is free. Handicapped parking is available in the area of the Police Station on 4th Street. For everyone's safety, pets, bikes, and skateboards or roller skates of any type are not allowed in the park the entire weekend.For information about the festival, visit
