Published January 22. 2020 11:20AM

A home was damaged after a truck ran into it Saturday afternoon in Palmerton.

Borough police Chief Randy Smith said the incident occurred at 12:47 p.m. when a truck operated by Michael Kleintop, 43, of Palmerton, was traveling south on Fireline Road.

Smith said that due to the slippery conditions, Kleintop attempted to stop the truck when he slid into the front porch area of a house at 854 Mauch Chunk Road.

He said no one was injured, but the home suffered moderate damage to the front door of the porch.

Smith said there was some damage to the front of the truck.
