Northern Lehigh School Board

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following this week:

• The retirement of Kay Rau from her position as administrative secretary to the director of support services, effective Aug. 6. Rau will retire from the district with 13 years of service.

• The retirement resignation of Darryl Keiser from his position as maintenance worker, effective June 30. Keiser will retire from the district with 14 years of service.

• The transfer of Jamie Farber to administrative secretary to the director of special education, at a salary of $32,897, prorated, for the 2017-18 school year, April 23.

• Christopher Mann as lead maintenance, at a salary of $28 per hour, 40 hours a week, effective April 10.

• Substitute teachers Anthony Damiano, Tarik Haddad, Eleni Kalamaris, David McFadden and Blanche Melamed as CLIU Guest for the 2017-18 school year at the 2017-18 substitute teacher rates as approved on the Supplemental Salary Schedule.

• Memorandum of understanding with the Northern Lehigh Educational Support Personnel Association, Northern Lehigh Administrative Support Staff and the confidential secretary to the superintendent for a four-day workweek this summer.

• Authorized administration to bid for a new Chevrolet 2500 truck with plow for purchase during the 2018-19 school year.

• Granted Everly Kesack permission to attend the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Implementers’ Forum from May 22-23, in Hershey, with the cost of registration, $75, and meals, $48, for a total cost of about $123, to be funded from the Peters Elementary instructional staff development budget.

• Granted Kelly Kromer permission to attend the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Implementers’ Forum from May 22-23, in Hershey, with the cost of registration, $75, lodging, $193, travel, $86, and meals, $48, for a total cost of about $402, to be funded from the Peters Elementary instructional staff development budget.
