New voting procedure

When it was announced several months ago that Pennsylvania would be going to paper ballots, I was immediately concerned. Remember the presidential election of 2000? At that time the state of Florida had paper ballots.

The complaints came from the Democrats that the votes were wrongly tallied. This led to multiple recounts. Gov. Jeb Bush was then pressured to go to electronic balloting. This brings us to present-day Pennsylvania, where we had electronic voting for a few short years and it worked just fine. Now Gov. Tom Wolf just took us backward to paper balloting because of alleged foreign interference in our state election process.

Really? My own personal belief is that he is planning to manipulate the next presidential election of 2020 should President Trump take the state of Pennsylvania once again. As it turns out, we don’t have to wait until next year’s presidential election to see this process unfold.

We are seeing it right now with a few people challenging the results of the Nov. 5 election. Foreign interference? I’m more concerned with the people who will be doing this tedious hand count.
