Nesquehoning police seek home invasion info

Nesquehoning police are looking for the community’s help with solving an armed home invasion that occurred in the borough over the weekend.

According to borough police, officers were dispatched to a home along Coal Street at 2:47 a.m. on Sunday for a reported home invasion.

Three men assaulted a juvenile during the incident, officers said. The victim described the assailants as two Caucasians and one possibly African American or Hispanic man.

During the invasion, the three assailants took various items, including gaming systems, knives and a Walther semi-automatic .22 pistol.

Police are looking for a black crossover or SUV type vehicle that was parked to the rear of the post office at that time and believe it may be connected to the invasion.

The department is also asking for any residents along Catawissa Street who have security cameras that may have caught the vehicle or the assailants to contact them at 570-669-9111.
