Nesquehoning police report citations, crashes

Nesquehoning police released several nontraffic and traffic citations that were issued in the borough recently.

Citations

Nontraffic citations issued include one citation for not paying the sanitation bill from May through October; one citation for harassment; one citation for retail theft; and three citations for moving permits.

Traffic citations issues include three citations for driving without a license; three citations for not having a vehicle inspected; three citations for driving while driver’s license is suspended; two citations for not having proper registration on the vehicle; one citation for not properly restraining a child in the vehicle; one citation for allowing an unauthorized person to drive; one citation for driving after consuming a controlled substance or alcohol; two citations for operating a vehicle where it is prohibited; five citations for speeding; one citation for failing to stop at a stop sign; one citation for making a U-turn where it is not permitted; and three citations for general lighting purposes.

Crashes

Police also reported a one-vehicle crash on Jan. 14 along Route 93.

Henry Alberto Wuezada was traveling south when he lost control of his pickup and crossed over into the northbound lane before striking the guide rail. He was not injured.

Police will be citing Wuezada for driving while under suspension.

Also on Jan. 14, police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Railroad Street and Route 209.

A Mercedes, driven by George Strubinger, pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by David Andrew III, causing the crash. No one was injured.

Strubinger will be cited for the crash.
