McAdoo police released information on recent traffic stops.

• James Carroll III, 42, of Summit Hill and Stacey Miletto, 42, of Philadelphia, were cited after a stop on July 7. Carroll was driving a vehicle stopped for window tint and brake light issues. Noting a strong odor of marijuana, officers had Carroll perform field sobriety tests which led to him being taken to a hospital for blood work.

A backpack in the back seat contained marijuana, which Carroll and Miletto both claimed as theirs.

Carroll was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and the traffic violations.

Miletto was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Sarah Bonafair, 23, of Kelayres was stopped on July 1 for failing to stop at a stop sign. A strong odor of alcohol came from the inside of the vehicle, leading officers to ask her to take a field sobriety test. She complied and the results indicated impaired reactions. A preliminary breath test was positive. She refused to have a blood test. She was charged with DUI and failure to heed a traffic control device.

• Edward Bielen III, 20, of McAdoo was stopped on July 1 for a nonworking head light. The cup holder contained a small amount of marijuana. Bielen admitted there was more in a plastic bag behind the passenger seat. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and the head light violation.

• Trisha Bryan, 28, of Birdsboro, was in a vehicle stopped on June 30 for heavy window tint and a loud muffler. She admitted being the owner of a small bag containing marijuana, a glass pipe and a grinder. She was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Jendaya Williams-Sheffield, 22, of Tamaqua was stopped on June 10 for failing to obey the steer clear law. When officers spoke to her, they noticed slow responses and the odor of marijuana. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken to the hospital for blood tests. The result were positive for marijuana. She was charged with two counts of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and the traffic offense.

• Randall Clawson Jr., 38, of Mahanoy City was stopped for violating the steer clear law on June 16. He smelled strongly of alcohol and was asked to do field sobriety tests. His actions during the test led officers to take him to the hospital for blood work. Test results show he had a 0.139 percent blood alcohol content, more than the legal limit of 0.08. He was charged with two counts of DUI and the traffic violation.
