McAdoo Police Log

McAdoo police reported on the following cases:

• Joshua Jimenez, 32, Hazleton, was charged with driving under the influence. Police stopped Jimenez’s vehicle for speeding on Nov. 3 and police found he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. After speaking with Jimenez, police detected an odor of alcohol and slurred speech. He was asked to submit to a breath test and field sobriety tests. Jimenez was taken into custody. Results of a blood test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.065% along with oxycodone.

• Tyler Galade, 21, Hazleton, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense for window tint. Police stopped Galade’s vehicle for window tint and detected the odor of burned marijuana from inside the vehicle. Galade, the driver, said he didn’t smoke in roughly three hours, but also told police he had a pipe in the vehicle. Blood test results showed THC in his system.

• Walter Rios, 57, McAdoo, was cited for harassment after an incident on Dec. 28. Police were dispatched to North Sheridan Street for a domestic incident. The victim told police that Rios grabbed her and pulled her into the residence as they were arguing, and that she was eventually able to leave and call the police. Rios admitted to pulling her.
