Mahoning Farm supplies Capitol Christmas tree

A Carbon County tree is once again in the state capitol.

Gov. Tom Wolf posted on Facebook this afternoon that the 18-foot Douglas Fir has arrived from Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Mahoning Township.

The farm has supplied trees for the Capitol every year dating back to 2012. The farm has also supplied the tree for the White House for several years.

This year’s tree lighting ceremony in Harrisburg is at noon Dec. 6.
