A look back: Dec. 6, 1962
More than 300 parishioners and friends gathered at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lehighton last night for a dinner program which highlighted the 90th anniversary of the church being celebrated throughout this week.
Guest speaker was the Rev. Mark Lauchnor, former pastor and current pastor of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Perkasie.
He was introduced by Lamont Zimmerman, who served as master of ceremonies for the program.
The Rev. Harold W. Engle, pastor, cut a huge anniversary cake that was made in the shape of the church building, with the first piece being given to William Exner, 86, the oldest member of the congregation.
