Northern Lehigh’s Jada Saeger set a new school record Thursday as the Bulldogs defeated Saucon Valley.

Meanwhile, Northwestern posted wins in both boys and girls basketball, while the Panther Valley boys also picked up a victory.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Saucon Vy.-No. Lehigh

Northern Lehigh’s Jada Saeger set a new girls single-game scoring record as her 38 points propelled the Bulldogs to a 61-43 Colonial League win over Saucon Valley.

Saeger broke the school’s old mark, believed to be 36 points by Cathi Evans.

Northern Lehigh (6-7) also received 10 points from Lauren Hoffman.

Katherine Neiburg and Grace Albano each tallied 10 points for the Panthers (0-9).

Northwestern posted its ninth consecutive win with a 45-37 Colonial League decision over Palisades.

Emily Sekerak scored a team-high 16 points for the Tigers (12-1; 7-1), while Sydney Sevrain contributed nine.

The Pirates’ Sydney Odle led all scorers with 23 points.

Notre Dame GP-Palmerton

Notre Dame used a big second half to pull away from Palmerton for a 54-30 Colonial League victory.

Cassie Murphy’s 23 points led the Crusaders (10-1).

The Blue Bombers (5-8) received a team-high eight points from both Kayla Cincilla and Brianna Moore.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Pine Grove-Panther Valley

Rene Figueroa tallied a game-high 27 points to lead Panther Valley to a 59-53 Schuylkill League win over Pine Grove.

Figueroa and Blake White accounted for all of PV’s points in the third quarter, with each of them scoring seven, as the Panthers (10-2; 4-2) used a 14-8 frame to take the lead.

White finished with 13 points, and Erick Marchorro added nine.

The Cardinals (6-6; 1-5) received a team-high 19 points from Jordan Pena.

PINE GROVE

The Buldogs used a balanced attack to pull out the win. Bradon Hess led the way with 15 points, Nick Seier followed with 10, and Zach Moyer and Preston Kemery added nine apiece.

Notre Dame of Green Pond pulled away from Palmerton for a 64-49 Colonial League victory.

Zach DeFoe tallied a game-high 22 points for the Crusaders (9-3), who shot 10-of-11 from the free-throw line.

The Bombers (7-6) received a team-high 20 points from Justin Hosier, while Nate Dougherty contributed 12.

Northwestern rallied from a halftime deficit to gain a 68-67 Colonial League victory over Palisades.

Devin Thomas scored a team-high 19 points for the Tigers (6-5), who trailed by eight at the intermission. Deven Bollinger added 14 points, while Sam Seyfried and Samuel Yadush each finished with 13.

The Pirates (3-9) received a game-high 22 points from Grayson Deiley.

The Red Raiders (11-3; 4-1), who led 41-26 at the break, received 26 points from both Thomas Schultz and Ty Klembara.

Three Olympians — Zach Searfoss, Caiden Hurley and James Adames — all hit for 13 apiece in the setback.

The loss dropped Jim Thorpe to 6-8 overall and 1-5 in the league.
