Lehighton state police investigate thefts

State police at Lehighton report the following incidents:

• A no-force burglary of a Gilbert home is under investigation. Police said someone entered a residence on the 1000 block of Interchange Road, Polk Township, and moved items inside it.

No other information was provided by police.

• A 32-year-old woman from Slatington reported a mountain bike was stolen from a residence along Ore Street in Bowmanstown, on Aug. 5. The bike is valued at $200.

• A credit card of a Saylorsburg man was illegally used. A resident of Chestnut Drive South in Ross Township reported approximately $900 was withdrawn from different companies without his authorization.

• Nearly $1,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a flatbed trailer that was parked along Stone Lane in Eldred Township. The theft happened between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 9 a.m. Aug. 7.

The victim is a company from Harrisburg.

Taken were a johnny bar valued at $100, a $240 spare trailer tire, a ratchet binder worth $25, an L shape pole rack valued at $600 and a wheel chock estimated at $20.

• Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at 8:35 a.m. Aug. 23 in Ross Township.

The victim is a 44-year-old man from East Stroudsburg who reported someone made a forced entry to a commercial property of his along Route 115.

Police said a window was broken at the premises and $60 was stolen.

• Troopers said a 67-year-old man from Kunkletown, Eldred Township, reported someone used his credit card information to make several purchases. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
