Lehighton state police investigate incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• Two people were cited for harassment following an incident that occurred at 3:59 a.m. Feb.24 along Blakeslee Boulevard Drive at Fredericks Grove Road in Mahoning Township, Carbon County. Police said a 20-year-old Pottsville man and a 35-year-old Lehighton man, physically harassed each other following a verbal dispute. Troopers declined to identify the suspects.

• Michael Baylo, 57, of Saylorsburg, was charged by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks with harassment following a domestic disturbance at 3:26 p.m. Feb. 27 at 1223 Overlook Court, Chestnuthill Township. Police were told by the 19-year-woman, also of Saylorsburg, that she had an argument with Baylo that became physical.

• State police were summoned to Blue Mountain Ski Resort, 1660 Blue Mountain Drive, Lower Towamensing Township, to investigate a theft, but police said the stolen items were returned to the victims, an 18-year-old from Whitehall, and a 44-year-old from New York, New York. Police said the incident happened at 3:57 p.m. Feb. 21. They said two cell phones, valued at $600 and $300, respectively, and $40 in cash were taken out of ski bags owned by the victims, but the stolen property was returned to them.

• State police said the investigation of a suspected child abuse report they received revealed the allegation is unfounded. Police said it was reported to them the abuse took place between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Feb. 24 along Lakeview Drive in Ross Township. It supposedly involved a 2-year-old boy from Saylorsburg.

• State police responded to the theft of a trailer, which occurred between midnight Feb. 20 and 1 p.m. Thursday from the area of Mountain Road and Gate Lane in the borough of Slatington. The 2018 Black Quality Trailer was later recovered in West Penn Township. The victim is a 56-year-old Wind Gap man.

• State police charged two people with harassment after they responded to a domestic dispute at 8:44 p.m. Feb. 25 along Molasses Valley Road in Polk Township. Cited were a 44-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man.
