Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Wednesday: Lenten services at 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir rehearsal, 7 p.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Colossians.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

St. John’s Lutheran

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Drive W., Lehighton:

Dinner & Discussion: 6:30 p.m. March 21 in the kitchen and fellowship hall.

Worship Service: March 24, 9 a.m. and Sunday school at 10:15 a.m.

Worship Service: 9 a.m. March 31, Youth and Scouts Sunday and Sunday school at 10:15 a.m. Our young people, including those from Cub Scout Pack 145, will participate in many parts of the service including greeting, ringing the bell and taking offering. As part of this Sunday’s worship, the Worship and Music committee is asking all members who have a garment of clothing that displays a Christian symbol or wording to please wear it for the service. Let us, without any shyness, declare our beliefs.

Joint Lenten Service: 7:30 p.m. April 3 at Zion’s Stone Church and 7:30 p.m. April 10 at St. Peter’s Church.

Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade start at 10:45 a.m.

Midweek Lenten worship with Holden Evening Prayer and psalm devotion continues Wednesdays at 7 p.m. through April 10. Simple soup supper precedes worship at 6 p.m.

For those seeking membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information at 1 p.m. Sunday. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register for this session as well as arranging for a future date for baptism.

Instructional sessions to receive First Holy Communion for your child in fifth grade or higher. These after-school sessions will be April 15-17. First Holy Communion will take place during the Maundy Thursday worship service April 18. Please register by contacting the church office by April 1.
