The following motions were made at Monday night's Jim Thorpe Area School District board of education meeting.

• Zelenkofske Axelrod in Harrisburg was approved as auditor for the district's 2016-2017 school year at a rate of $16,040.• An insurance policy with the Pennsylvania School Board Association/Highmark/Chubb was approved at the rate of $251,995.• Jennifer Holder was approved as a social studies teacher with a salary of $45,420. Blake Yurchak was approved as a social studies teacher with a salary of $44,170.• Cassandra Simmons was approved as a summer worker at the rate of $8 per hour, with hours to be determined by the director of buildings and grounds.• Summer School Kindergarten Camp teachers were approved at the rate of $40 from July 10 through July 20: Kelli Reese and Lisa Warren, Penn Kidder Campus,and Jamie Kunkel, L.B. Morris.• Summer School teachers were approved at the rate of $40 from July 10 through July 27: Sue Becker, Megan Reilly, Lorraine Robins, Jason McElmoyle and Ashley Andrews, Penn Kidder Campus; Jodi McAndrew, Daniel Rossino, Kristy George, Maggie Capper, David Marino, Karen Karper, Tom Condly and James Bumbulsky, L.B.
