Class outing

Members of the 1964 graduating class of Jim Thorpe, will hold their next outing at noon on May 28, at Heisler’s Dairy Bar, Tamaqua. Members planning to attend this month’s event, please note the change of day and date for this month only.

If you have questions, contact Harry Eisenhart. One event scheduled for the summer will include a bus trip to Knoebel’s Amusement Park on June 19. If you wish to take the bus to the park or have questions, contact Ellie Barno Evans.

Payment may be mailed to Ellie, at Box 175, Bowmanstown, PA, 18030 or given to her at the next meeting. The bus will leave Jim Thorpe at 9 a.m. and leave the park at 6 p.m.

Free community supper

The next free community supper sponsored by St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. May 19. The menu for the month is a picnic-style dinner. The meals are usually held the last Sunday of the month, however, due the Memorial Day holiday, it has been changed. If you have questions, call the church office.
