Community dinner

Sunday will be the next free community dinner at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. The meal of spaghetti and meatballs will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. If you have any questions, call 570-325-2241.

Soup and Scripture

Soup and Scripture, a shared Lenten Exchange, will take place this evening in St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue. The evening will begin at 6 o’clock.

This year the theme is Social Statements of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. This evening’s topic is “Women and Justice.” Next week’s evening will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Street. Sharing the topics will be Pastor Tony Pagotto and Pastor Peter Muhr.
