Church meetings

St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, has several meetings scheduled for this week. Tuesday, at 6 p.m. the Men’s Ministry Work Group will meet. At 7 p.m. Wednesday the clothing ministry committee will be discussing the details for this year’s annual clothing giveaway in the Good Shepherd Room. Thursday the men’s ministry Bible study group will meet at 6 p.m.

On May 23 there will be a meeting of the Willing Workers of the church to make the final plans for its annual bake sale and yard sale, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9. Items for the sale may be dropped off at the church starting May 27. Baked goods will be appreciated the day of the sale.

Class gatherings

Members of the Jim Thorpe High School class of 1964 will meet at the Fogelsville Hotel for lunch at noon Wednesday.

The class of 1967 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Monday at the Boulevard Restaurant, Lehighton.

Community supper

Sunday is the next scheduled day for the free community supper at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Race Street. This month will be a picnic-style dinner. For more information call the church at 570-325-2241.
