Halloween Party

St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday school, South Avenue, will hold its annual Halloween party tonight at the church.

There will be games, refreshments and prizes.

Trick or Treat in the Park

Trick or Treat in the Park will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sam Miller Field, North Avenue. Come to the Sam Miller Field for a safe place for children to enjoy trick or treating.

Hand out candy or goodies, bring a chair and even decorate a table or trunk. All are welcome to participate.

Thanksgiving dinner

St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will be holding a pork and sauerkraut dinner in the fellowship hall of the church on Nov. 17. The dinner will take place after the Saturday night service. The time for the service has been changed to 5 p.m. There will be a sign-up sheet in the vestibule of the church. Contact a church council member of call the church office to place your reservations. They are due by Nov. 11. A suggested free will offering of $5 per adult is requested and children are free.
