Two insurance agents from Nesquehoning-based ETA Insurance Group, formerly ETA Benefits Group, were recently recognized as members of the 2019 Health Insurance Marketplace Circle of Champions.

Joseph Pilla, ETA’s owner and president, and Ed Titus, insurance sales specialist, earned this distinction by helping 20 or more consumers make plan selections and enroll in Marketplace coverage during the 2019 Open Enrollment period.

The Marketplace is an online tool operated by the federal government that allows individuals to shop for health care plans and receive referrals to local agents for further assistance.

“Choosing an individual health insurance plan can be confusing and overwhelming,” Pilla says. “We regularly work with consumers who are looking to choose or change their health care plan and help them select the best coverage for their needs. It’s an honor to be recognized by the Marketplace for this achievement.”

During the annual Open Enrollment period, people without employer-based coverage and purchase their own health care can enroll in or make changes to an existing plan. Local agents who specialize in health care are also available to assist with the plan selection and enrollment process.
