The Carbon County Republican Committee will nominate people for the Nov. 5 municipal election ballot to replace people who have died and whose terms in office will not expire until December 2021.

Those open positions are Mahoning Township Supervisor (2-year term) for Frank Ruch, Lower Towamensing Township Supervisor (2-year term) for Bernard Jesse Mendez, and East Side Borough Mayor (2-year term) for Colleen Donlin.

People interested in being nominated are asked to submit a short letter of interest to Chairman Lee Becker at leekay@ptd.net or by U.S. mail to CCRC, P.O. Box 266, Lehighton, PA 18235 no later than June 26.

Letters should include a return telephone number, how long the candidate has lived in their respective municipality, how long the candidate has been a registered Republican, and if selected, his/her top three goals for that office.
