Bill Frey of South Tamaqua is celebrating his 100th birthday today.

Frey was born on May 18, 1919.

He has always lived in the area and currently resides in The Palmerton senior living facility in Palmerton.

He served as a truck driver for more than 50 years.

Frey frequently attends church services and entertainment programs at The Palmerton.

During his free time, he enjoys watching sports on television, especially the Philadelphia Phillies.

“Baseball is my favorite sport,” Frey said. “I used to play it as a kid.”

A birthday celebration was held for Frey and the other residents on May 15 at The Palmerton.
