FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS

Franklin Township supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• Adopted a resolution requesting a Local Share Account grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority to be used for the purchase of a 2020 Responder WIP, License Plate Reader, ad Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 with all the accessories needed and installation fees for the police department; and designated the chairman of the board of supervisors and the secretary-treasurer to execute all documents and agreements.

• Approved the 2020 Minimum Municipal Obligation for the township police pension plan in the amount of $42,362.

• Approved the 2020 MMO for the township nonuniformed pension plan in the amount of $40,315.

• Approved an Eagle Scout Project to create a “Reading Station” at the Phifer’s Ice Dam Park.

• Agreed to have the township solicitor begin the process to remove the occupants who reside at 327 Held St.

• Announced the change in garbage collection for the Columbus Day Holiday: Monday, Oct. 14, pickup is changed to Tuesday, Oct. 15.

• Announced that an Electronic Recycling Event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 26 for Franklin Township residents only.

• Agreed to schedule trick-or-treat night from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30.
