Fern Ridge State Police report

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following arrests made by troopers:

• On June 2 at 7:37 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Hickory Drive, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, for a reported inactive domestic incident.

On scene troopers were told that Kenneth Saxby, 33, of Tannersville, slapped a 36-year-old woman, also from Tannersville, on the left side of the face. No medical treatment was received.

Troopers charged Saxby with harassment - physical contact.

• On June 4 about 4:23 p.m. troopers responded to the Weis Market, located off Route 209 at Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a retail theft report. On scene Brittany Huegel, 26, of Saylorsburg, was identified by store personnel as removing items from the store without paying for them. She was confronted by store staff then left the scene. She was cited for retail theft.

• Kenneth Mitchell, 49, of Albrightsville, is facing charge following an incident at 5:30 p.m. June 14 about 5:30 p.m.

Troopers said Mitchell purchased a bag of dog food at the Tractor Supply store along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. He became upset when the store employees gave him the incorrect amount of change and began to yell at the employees. Mitchell followed employees around the business and reached for the register drawer.

Troopers said Mitchell admitted having a vape pen containing marijuana and THC oil in his pocket but claimed he had a medical marijuana card, but did not have it on him. As a result Mitchell was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and harassment.
