Fern Ridge Police investigate thefts

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating the following thefts:

• A 61-year-old man from Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported a 8GB Samsung Galaxy tablet was stolen from his garage attached to his home along Shadow Ridge Drive. The tablet had been plugged into an outlet to charge when it was stolen. The tablet was white with a 7-inch screen, in a protective Moko brand case. The theft occurred sometime between June 4 at 10:45 p.m. and June 5 at 10:45 a.m.

• Police said the Cloud Valley Vapor store, located off Route 209, in Chestnuthill Township, was entered by breaking a rear window. The thieves pried open the locked cash register and stole a security safe from inside the store. The incident was reported on April 28. Taken was $2,200 in cash, the register valued at $200, security safe valued at $300 and damage to the window set at $500.
