Families thank firefighters

We would like to thank all the fire volunteers who came so quickly to our homes where there was chaos fear and uncertainty. You left your dinner at the table to get cold, unsure when you would return. You turned away from family plans. You came and you fought while the temperature was already blazing hot. Because of your immediate response, lives were saved. Although five homes were damaged or destroyed, your quick actions kept the rest of the row homes safe.

We want to thank the Red Cross volunteers, Pepper and John, who were so caring, and relieved the pressure that we were all under with kind words and hugs. Also, thank you to the EMTs for their caring about our health and safety, and checking on us. Everyone was kind and caring and took time to speak to us and assure us of our safety. All of the volunteers are our heroes, and we will be forever grateful for your strength and determination to help people in a crisis.

Thank you to the amazing community that we are blessed to be a part of. You rallied around us with donations from near and far. Thank you to the local churches who held free will offerings, Papa Al’s for sending pizza, Country Harvest, and the One Ten Tavern for hosting the benefit. Words cannot express our gratitude enough to our family, friends and strangers who have helped us in the time of uncertainty and difficulty. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you,
