Easter egg hunts

• The East Penn Township Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 2 p.m. April 13 at Ashfield Playground. Egg coloring will take place at 6 p.m. April 10.

• The Palmerton Memorial Park Association will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. April 13 at Memorial Park, 1255 Third St., Palmerton, for children 10 and younger. There will be prizes.

• An egg hunt will be held in Palmerton Borough Park at 1 p.m. April 13.

• The Jim Thorpe TouchDown Club will host an Easter Bunny Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on April 13 at the L.B. Morris Elementary Building with an egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. with prizes. The Easter bunny will be there to take pictures with. There is a cost. You may pay at the door, or preorder tickets with Patty Stauffer at staufferpatty@yahoo.com.

• The Summit Hill Legion will host an Easter Egg Hunt in Ashton Park on April 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, invites children from Saylorsburg and Ross Township to the church’s annual outdoor Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. April 13. Hunt areas will be set up for children ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. Prizes available in special categories for each age group. Bring a basket, bag, or bucket for collection. The rain date is April 20. St. Peter’s United Methodist Church is located at 924 Route 115, Saylorsburg, next to the Dollar General. Due to the reconstruction phase of the church, no one will be allowed in the building.

• The Lansford American Legion will hold an egg hunt at the Lansford Pool from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a firetruck promptly at 11 a.m. Free face painting, hot dogs, drinks and chocolate bunnies will be available for each child present as well as lots of prizes.

• The Rush Township Easter Egg Hunt will be at noon April 13, at Miller Park. Volunteers are needed.

• Ross Township Park in Saylorsburg is the site for a free Easter Egg Hunt for children 10 and under at 1 p.m. April 13. The event will include prizes and pictures with the Easter Bunny as well as treats. Those over 18 can participate in a raffle, purchasing tickets before the egg hunt. The drawing will follow the egg hunt’s completion. Must be present to win.

• Bethany EC Church hosts an egg hunt for children ages 3 to 12 at 2 p.m. April 13 at the Lehighton Community Grove, Seventh and Iron streets.• Easter on the Hill will be conducted by the Summit Hill Recreation Commission on April 13. The event for Summit Hill children will begin at 11 a.m. in Ludlow Park.

• The West Penn community Easter Egg Hunt for all children 12 and under will begin at 1 p.m. April 14 at the Andreas Sporting Club, 86 Andreas Road, Andreas. It is sponsored by the Andreas Sporting Club, West Penn Lions, West Penn Lioness, VFW Post 5069 and the West Penn Fire Company.

• Zion United Lutheran Church will host an afternoon of games, face painting and photos with the Easter bunny on April 14 starting at 2 p.m. with the egg hunt starting at 3 p.m. All ages up to and including fifth grade are invited to join in the fun. • Lehighton Rec Center, 243 S. Eighth St., in Lehighton, April 20. Egg hunt times are: Ages 0-2, noon; ages 3-5, 12:30 p.m.; ages 6-8, 1 p.m.; and ages 9-12, 1:30 p.m.

• St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown hosts an egg hunt from 1-2:30 p.m. April 20 at the church grove in Kunkletown. Egg hunts by age group, games, crafts, snacks and visit with the Easter bunny.

• The office of residence life and dining services at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania invites community members to an egg hunt from noon to 1 p.m. on April 20. The event, sponsored by ESU’s Residence Hall Association, is open to all elementary-aged children in the community at no cost. Meet at the main quad, located at the center of campus, in front of Laurel Hall, at 11:45 a.m. An adult is required to accompany children to campus and must remain present throughout the course of the event. • Easter on the Hill will be conducted by the Summit Hill Recreation Commission on April 13. The event for Summit Hill children will begin at 11 a.m. in Ludlow Park.
