Judgments recorded

Sterling Jewelers/Kay Outlet, Akron, Ohio, has placed on record a judgment in its favor against Rodney D. Bryant, 801 Stony Mountain Road, Albrightsville, in the amount of $2,328.81.

The judgment was entered on March 6, 2017, by Magisterial District Judge Eric M. Schrantz, Jim Thorpe.

Michael S. Greek, Esq., 42 E. Patterson St., Lansford, has recorded a judgment against Gabriella Santiago, 226 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, in the amount of $2,048.93.

The judgment was entered on Oct. 2, 2017, by Magisterial District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek, Lansford.

Patrick Dominic, 324 N. Seventh St., Lehighton, has recorded a judgment against David Canham, 178A S. First St., Lehighton, in the amount of $4,906.60.

The judgment was entered on Oct. 30, 2017, by Magisterial District Judge Eric M. Schrantz, Jim Thorpe.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Harrisburg, has filed a lien against the World of Wonder Preschool and Childcare Center, 5620 Interchange Road, Lehighton.

The filing lists judgment in the amount of $2,859.80 owed to the use of the department’s Unemployment Compensation Fund.

Credit union sues

The First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Bethlehem, has filed three civil actions seeking judgments in its favor for financial contracts of which it is the creditor.

The first case is against Michael W. Wiener, 106 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, seeking judgment in the amount of $7,106.74. The complaint alleges breach of contract regarding a vehicle installment sale contract the defendant entered into with Kovatch Ford Inc.

First Commonwealth states it repossessed a 2010 Ford Focus that Wiener purchased, sold it for $5,700, but the remaining debt the credit union sustained is $5,437. The additional costs include fees for interest, storage, repossession fees, attorney’s fees and costs.

First Commonwealth also filed two separate civil actions against Jason A. Benner and Christiana E. Benner, aka Christiana E. Kruk, both of 680 Franklin Ave.

The suit against Jason Benner seeks judgment in the amount of $15,423.03, plus interest, attorney’s fees and costs, while the plaintiff is seeking judgment in the amount of $17,878.67, plus costs, against Christiana Benner.

In both suits, First Commonwealth alleged the defendants owe the sums for having violated Visa credit card agreements as well as lines of credit in which they had drawn upon.

Mortgage foreclosure

Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB, dba Christiana Trust, Irvine, California, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Harold W. and Barbara McNatt, 14 Carbon St., Weatherly, over a property at that address.

Judgment in the amount of $110,670.77 is sought.

Credit card default

Barclays Bank, Wilmington, Delaware, has filed a credit card default suit against Ronald Kobrick, 305 First St., Weatherly.

Judgment in the amount of $2,420.28 is sought.

The Bank of America N.A., Newark, Delaware, has filed a credit card default suit against Lisa A. Holland, 415 Main St., Jim Thorpe.

Judgment in the amount of $3,685.54 is sought.

Decision appealed

Roger Kornfiend and Hydro Dynamic Pools, Pen Argyl, has filed an appeal of a ruling made on a case by Magisterial District Judge Eric M. Schrantz, Jim Thorpe.

The judgment was entered on Nov. 15, 2017, in the amount of $10,365.50 in favor of Glenn and Renee Schoch, 74 Second Ave., Lehighton.
