Five defendants in pending criminal cases entered guilty pleas before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

Daniel Scott Leslie Jr.

, 25, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count each of theft and theft of lost or mislaid property.

He was charged for an incident on Oct. 31, 2016, at his parents’ residence along West Edgemont Avenue by Palmerton police. He took items from his father and a ring from his mother. Leslie is currently an inmate in the county prison and was scheduled to appear before Judge Steven R. Serfass on Friday for sentencing on a drug charge.

Nanovic sentenced him to serve one to 12 months in prison on each count, running concurrently, and to get a drug and alcohol evaluation. The term began immediately.

Craig Silliman

, 25, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to one count each of false reports to incriminate another and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on April 29 by Mahoning Township police who responded to the 1200 block of Packer Dam Road for a reported robbery. Silliman claimed he was assaulted and robbed and gave the name Cody Silliman. Police later learned there was no robbery and learned Silliman’s true identity.

Nanovic sentenced him to serve two to 12 months in prison on the false reports and one to 12 months on the drug count, with the terms running concurrently. He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Silliman is currently an inmate in the county prison.

Troy Dubois

, 47, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct.

He was arrested on Feb. 16 by Palmerton police at the Palmerton hospital where officers were called for a disturbance involving Dubois. Police said Dubois was highly intoxicated when they found him.

Dubois, who is currently an inmate in the county prison, admitted to mental health issues. He is in prison on a parole violation.

Nanovic placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get both drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations.

Joshua Michael Stubits

, 32, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of disorderly conduct, as a summary offense, with a possession of a controlled substance charge dropped in a plea bargain.

Stubits was arrested on Feb. 3, 2017, in the area of 302 Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township where state police at Lehighton went to serve an arrest warrant issued out of Lehigh County.

Nanovic imposed a fine of $300 and costs.

Nathaniel Goff

, 19, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on March 12 by Lehighton police along Route 443 in the area of Fegley’s Fast Fill.

Nanovic placed him on probation for six months and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation.
