A Carbon County woman admitted stealing from her father by illegally using his credit card, and one count of drunken driving on Friday in the county court.

She was one of eight defendants in pending criminal cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Kidder incident

Katie Murphy

, 36, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of access device fraud for using the credit card of her father without permission. She was originally charged with 39 counts of access device fraud, but in a plea agreement with the district attorney’s office, pleaded to just one count.

She also pleaded to one count of driving under the influence of a controlled substance filed by state police at Fern Ridge for an incident on March 9.

On the access device fraud count Matika sentenced her to serve two to 18 months in prison with credit for 54 days already served. On the DUI charge she was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, concurrent with the first count.

She was also ordered to make restitution to her father for $1,715.96, render 75 hours of community service and supply a DNA sample. On the DUI count she must pay a fine of $1,000 with a one-year license suspension.

On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, she was placed on probation for a year, also concurrent with the other counts and on a summary offense of driving under suspension, she was fined $200 and costs. Those two counts were filed with the DUI charge.

Other pleas

Jeremy Scott Rawlins

, 31, of Lansford, entered guilty pleas in two pending cases.

He pleaded to one count of retail theft for an incident on Dec. 31, 2017, at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township. He also pleaded to one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude police and possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident on Feb. 13 in Summit Hill, along Route 209. Heroin was found in his vehicle following a traffic stop.

Matika placed him on probation for 18 months on the theft and fleeing counts and one year probation on the drug charge, all running concurrent. He was also ordered to render 75 hours of community service, make restitution to Walmart for $450.80 and stay out of the store.

Brandi Larisa Ceykowsky

, 25, of Allentown, and formerly of Palmerton, pleaded to one count each of possession of a controlled substance and retail theft, as a summary offense.

She was arrested on April 12 by Mahoning Township police at the Walmart store.

On the drug count she was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service. On the summary count she was fined $100 and costs.

Valerie Nattress

, 38, of Tamaqua, pleaded in two pending cases.

She pleaded to one count of resisting arrest for an incident on May 25 in the 100 block of East White Street, filed by Summit Hill police. In a plea bargain with the district attorney’s office a charge of aggravated assault on a police officer was dropped. She also pleaded to one count of false identification to law enforcement for an incident on Dec. 10, 2017, filed by Jim Thorpe police for an incident in the 400 block of North Street. Police responded to the area for a reported domestic incident. At the scene, Nattress gave police another person’s name.

Matika placed her on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered her to get both a drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations and render 50 hours of community service.

Nattress is an inmate in the county prison and will be transferred to the Schuylkill County prison. She is facing charges in Schuylkill County.

Seth Michael Kry­nock

, 22, of Summit Hill, pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct. He was arrested on Feb. 5 by Summit Hill police.

He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service. The term runs concurrent with a prison term is serving in the county prison.

Adrian Malcomn Thompson

, 25, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of simple assault.

He was arrested on July 22, 2017 by Lansford police at a residence along West Ridge Street. Police responded to the residence to a report of an unwanted person. The two victims reported that Thompson arrived at the home and kicked in a door to gain entry and confronted a man in the residence. The victim said he and Thompson had a verbal confrontation the day before.

Matika deferred sentencing to a later date.

Harassment

The following defendants pleaded to harassment counts, as summary offenses.

Genesis Marie Pagan

, 22, of Allentown, was charged for an incident on Aug. 4 filed by Kidder Township police. Police responded to a domestic incident at Split Rock Galleria in Lake Harmony involving Emanuel Ramos, 29, also of Allentown, as the victim.

Ramos was also charged for his part in the incident. Both were ordered to pay a fine of $100 each.

Wayne Swingle

, 45, of Easton, was charged for an incident on Sept. 17, 2017, in East Penn Township. He was fined $100.

Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and those on probation or parole pay a $50 per month supervision fee.
