Carbon commissioners approve items

The Carbon County Commissioners approved the following:

• The appointment of Rocky Ahner as commissioner representative on the Carbon County Action Committee Advisory Board. Ahner replaces former Commissioner William J. O’Gurek.

• The appointment of Chris L. Lukasevich as commissioner representative on the Mental Health/Developmental Services Advisory Board. Lukasevich fills the unexpired term of O’Gurek, effective to March 31, 2021.

• The reappointment of Carbon Engineering Inc. as the county engineer with the 2020 professional fee schedule at $46 to $189 per hour.

• Employment separation: Gregory M. Yamrich of Lansford, site coordinator trainee, corrections, effective Jan. 15.

• Resignations: Michaelyn R. Ruggiero of Coaldale, corrections officer, effective Jan. 12; Abigail L. Hernandez of Weatherly, part-time dispatcher trainee, effective Jan. 8; and Kyra R. Simmons of Tamaqua, part-time dispatcher trainee, effective Jan. 7.

• Change of status: Annette M. Kelly of Lansford, from part-time corrections officer/Teamsters, to corrections officer, effective Jan. 27.

• Hires: Russell W. Shade II of Palmerton, part-time senior center operator I, area agency on aging, effective Jan. 20; Nicole L. Sell of Allentown, county caseworker I, children and youth services, effective Jan. 20; and Jason D. Comisac-Nelson of Mary-D, part-time dispatcher trainee, communications center, effective Feb. 3.

• District attorney appointment: Nadine A. Galloway of New Ringgold, part-time victim/witness coordinator, effective Jan. 20.
