The 38th annual Carbon County Art League Art Exhibition and Sale will take place April 13-14 at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center.

New for 2019:

• Oil and acrylic paintings are combined into one category based on the limited number of entries last year. • A digital art category has been added to allow heavily edited photography and computer-generated art. • A student category has been added with free entry to students under 18 with ID.

Other events scheduled for the art league this year include:

• Wednesday: Art, Wine and Open Mic Mixer at the Carbon Chamber office. • June 12: The Restorative Art Room by art teacher Sarah Gross. • July 10: Collaborative Art Table Cover Project bring along your creative thoughts to contribute to the league’s table cover project (this table cover will be used at art shows and community events to advertise the CCAL). • Aug. 14: Annual Summer Picnic at Beltzville State Park. This is an all day event with opportunities for plain air painting, photography and fun games. Dinner will be ready at 6 p.m. There is a fee. • Sept. 11: Resources for Artists and Art Organizations by Amber Breiner of the Carbon County Creative Arts Fund. • Oct. 9: Painting Workshop led by Wayne Yurchak; paint a spooky Halloween canvas of your own. There is a fee. • Nov. 13: Woodworking by Joan Lech • Dec. 11: Annual Holiday Mixer. No cost to attend; bring along a dish to share.

All meetings are held at the Seventh Moon Day Spa, 701 Bridge St. in Lehighton from 6-8 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
