Bowmanstown declares snow state of emergency

Due to an impending snowstorm, the borough of Bowmanstown has declared a state of emergency as of noon Saturday.

The snow emergency route is Lime Street to Ore Street, right turn on Ore Street to Mill Street, left on Mill Street to White Street, Lime Street to Ore Street to Fireline Road, Craig Street, Lincoln Avenue and Cedar Street.

The restrictions are as follows:

No vehicles are allowed to park on a snow emergency route, unless signs permitting certain parking are posted.

Vehicles without chains or snow tires are not allowed to be operated on snow emergency routes.

Stalled vehicles, or vehicles that are incapable of moving under their own power, must be attended at all times.

Any vehicle that is parked, stalled, incapable of moving or left unattended upon snow emergency routes may be towed away.

Moving snow from sidewalks, driveways or other areas into streets, public highways or public right-of-ways is prohibited.
