Sometimes a person needs help but doesn’t want to leave their home.

There is a company that could help.

During the Carbon County Interagency and Family Collaborative Board meeting last month, members heard about At-Home Quality Care, a company that aims to help older residents stay in their homes when they need round-the-clock care.

Susan Parise, regional marketing manager for At-Home Quality Care, told the board about the services they offer, which includes 24-hour, live-in care by a care professional or even a family member who can be hired by the company to care for their loved one.

She said that At-Home Quality Care is another solution to nursing homes and can provide a more sustainable option financially and works with the person and their family to find the best solution for them.

The company has offices in Wayne, Lackawanna, Union and Susquehanna counties, but serves Carbon, Schuylkill, Monroe, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

For more information on the company, visit or call toll-free 844-275-9844.

In other matters, the collaborative board discussed upcoming events, including the human services priority breakfast, which is scheduled for April 26 at Whispering Pines, Penn Forest Township Fire Company, Jim Thorpe.

The breakfast has been a successful event over the years, discussing everything from children services to society reintegration efforts following incarceration.

The breakfast begins at 9 a.m. and the program starts at 9:30 a.m.

More details about the upcoming event will be announced closer to time, officials said.
