A suspect in an assault incident is being sought by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said at 5:55 p.m. on Sunday they responded to the 900 block of Molasses Valley Road in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a reported harassment.

On scene, it was determined that the suspect drove away with the vehicle of a 35-year-old woman from Summit Hill with his and the woman’s 1-year-old son after pushing and removing her from the vehicle. The victim was also physically assaulted by the suspect.

The vehicle the suspect drove away in was a dark blue 2005 BMW 330xi, bearing state registration plate KKP6269.

The investigation is continuing and charges will be filed, troopers said.
