Fireworks

• Frackville: Little League/Softball Complex, West High Street. July 3, display starts at dusk.

• Port Carbon: Monument Hill, July 4 at 10 p.m.

• Weatherly: Lehigh & Lausanne Homecoming Celebration, fire company grounds, 390 S. Lehigh Gorge Drive, July 4, dusk. Join us for food, music, games and fun. Thursday and Friday the Homecoming starts at 5 p.m. and Saturday activities start at 1 p.m. Friday is Ostrich Hat and Saturday is Big Country. This year a few crafters will be on the grounds. Get tickets for the tricky tray, which ends Saturday evening. The Cutest Baby Contest (ages birth to 3 years) must submit a 5-by-7 with name of parents and baby, age and phone number on the back. One winner will be selected by the number of tickets dropped.

• Skytop: Skytop Lodge, 1 Skytop Lodge Road, July 5, dusk.

• Jim Thorpe: Hometown Festival, Sam Miller Field, July 6. Fun and festivities, noon; fireworks at 10 p.m. Rain date July 7.

• Lehighton: Heritage Weekend, Lehighton Borough Park, July 6 and 7. Fireworks 10 p.m. July 6, Upper Park.

• Slatington: Emerald Fire Co. Fireworks & Picnic. Stands open at 4:30 p.m., fireworks at 10:30 p.m. July 6. Rain date July 7.

• Walnutport: Playground Association Carnival, July 9-13; fireworks display on July 12.

• Palmerton: Carbon County Fair, display at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 5, arena.

• Gilbert: West End Fair, display at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 18, main arena.
