Amber Schmidt and Kyle Wasilkowski, both of Harrisburg, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kimberly Boyer and Christopher Schmidt of Lansford, and the granddaughter of Delmar Boyer of New Ringgold.

She holds an associate degree in education from Lehigh Carbon Community College and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from York College of Pennsylvania. She is employed as an associate teacher at Keystone Early Learning Center in Harrisburg.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Janice and Charles Wasilkowski of Walnutport, and the grandson of Betty Rybnikar of Lansford.

He holds an associate degree in sport management from Lehigh Carbon Community College and a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in athletic administration from York College of Pennsylvania.

He is employed as a sports and fitness coordinator at Harrisburg Young Professionals.

The couple are planning a wedding for May 2020.
