A vacancy exists on Bowmanstown Borough Council amid the departure of a council member.
Council on a 5-0 vote Tuesday accepted the resignation of Councilwoman Candace Rodrigues. Councilwoman Pam Leiby was absent.
Afterward, council agreed to accept letters of interest from candidates who wish to fill the seat until Oct. 23.
Ravert noted that the borough has received two letters of interest to date.
He said council would look to appoint a new member when it meets at 7 p.m. Nov. 10.
After the meeting, council President William Ravert said Rodrigues resigned because she is moving out of state.
Rodrigues was appointed to the seat in February, and replaced her father, Joseph Rodrigues, who had to step down due to his work schedule.
