2020 reorganization: Rush Township reorganizes

The Rush Township Board of Supervisors chain of command will remain the same, with Shawn Gilbert reinstalled as chairman and Robert Leibensperger as vice chairman. Jeaninne Motroni is the third supervisor. Gilbert is also roadmaster for the township.

During the reorganization meeting Monday, the supervisors said that employees received small raises. Employees and their wages are as follows:

• Full-time Secretary-Treasurer Deborah DelFranco, $20 per hour. DelFranco also represents the township on the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission.

• Part-time administrative assistant Kristin Woleslagle, $18 per hour.

• Full-time equipment operator/CDL truck driver/road foreman/part-time sewer department Elden Neifert, $25 per hour.

• Full-time equipment operator/CDL truck driver/laborer Anthony Sfarra, $20.50 per hour.

• Full-time equipment operator/CDL truck driver/laborer Lonnie Ahner, $19 per hour.

• Full-time equipment operator/CDL truck driver/laborer Steven Foster, $18 per hour.

• Township sewer department, Michael Zimmerman, $25.50 per hour.

• New hire part-time police officers will be paid $20 per hour.

The township uses three solicitors: Board of Supervisors solicitor Christopher Riedlinger at $100 per hour, Burke & Burke for the Zoning Hearing Board at $85 per hour, and Peter Fagan for the Planning Commission at $110 per hour.

The supervisors noted that the township will be picking up Christmas trees Jan. 9 and Feb. 6. Call the township to be put on the list.
