A Port Carbon man will be cited by Tamaqua Police after an incident at Boyer's Food Mart, 210 Cedar St. on July 10.

Officers were called to the store at 1:25 p.m. for a reported fight. Witnesses said a man who had been sitting on a bench outside the store suddenly got up, picked up a shopping cart, held it over his head and threw it at several people who had just left the store. The man was identified as Thomas Heiser, 36.

The cart struck a 1994 Honda Accord, causing damage to the rear brake light and bumper.

Heiser had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
