Published January 11. 2017 12:24PM

The Carbon County Art League will meet from 6 to 8 this evening at the Seventh Moon Wellness Spa, 701 Bridge St., Lehighton. The meeting will take place in the spa's lounge area, located in the basement level of the restored historic silk mill. The building is accessible by ramp and elevator.

The program will feature an informative marketing presentation, "How to Sell Your Art - Digital and Social Trends of 2017," by Sarah Binder.

Binder has over five years of experience marketing small, local businesses and her own artwork. She attended Cedar Crest College obtaining a bachelor of science with a dual major in business management and marketing. At the same time she obtained a bachelor of arts in studio art focusing on jewelry and metalsmithing. She continued her education and earned an MBA focusing on entrepreneurial studies.

Binder currently works for Whitewater Challengers in the Poconos, developing and implementing its digital and social media marketing plan. She also runs her own small jewelry retail and wholesale business, Sincerely Sarah Jewelry, and has art in gift shops across the country.

Meetings are free and open to the public. Participants are free to bring a snack for themselves or to share with the group.

Carbon County Art League memberships are available at the meeting or online for $25, which provides added benefits to artists looking to promote and sell their work.
