Parryville breakfast

Breakfast will be served at Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2, 359 Main St. from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday. Platters include eggs, French toast, SOS, pancakes, etc. Takeouts available. Call 610-852-2350.

Lions Club

The Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. at the Bowmanstown Fire Co., 259 Lime St., Bowmanstown.

Palmerton Lions

The Palmerton Lions Club will meetat 7 p.m. Monday at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

Knitting Club

The Knitting Club will meet from 6-8 p.m. Mondayat the Palmerton Area Library. The club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting. All skill levels. Call 610-826-3424 for information.

Support group

The Carbon County Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, an ongoing support group for parents, grandparents and adult siblings grieving the loss of a child, grandchild or sibling. TCF meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at the Palmerton Community Ambulance building, 501 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. The next meeting will be Feb. 7.

Palmerton council

A regular meeting of Palmerton Borough Council will be held at 7 p.m.Feb. 9 in Borough Hall Council Chambers, 443 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.
